On An Anniversary

It is a good day to walk among trees
They are steadfast
They do not leave

Though winter’s bitter, succulent is spring
Trees weather
Mark their ring

Trees keep promises until they are dead
– Longer after to
What ground they wed

It is a good day
To walk among them
